Ica is the thriving center of wine and pisco from Peru. Its location next to the river of the same name, and slightly raised, is above the fog of the coast, maintaining a dry and sunny climate.
There are dozens of small and large wineries to go to try and buy wines and pisco in the area. These wineries can be visited all year round, although the best time would be during the grape harvest, from late February to early April.
You can find wineries that preserve the traditional in pisco and wine making using stills made in colonial times. The grape is based distillate fuel, forming a spectacle and event begin to distill the famous "Pisco".
